Getting Started

 

 If you are wondering "where do I start?" this is it! Just follow the steps below. Want a printed list? Click here.


 

1. Contact me by phone, e-mail, or contact form about your date and we can set aside time on my calendar for your event.

 

2.  Please fill out the client questionnaire  containing simple questions about your event to help me serve you better and provide a more accurate estimate. Just click on the yellow link to get to the online document. Please send it along in an email to DesignsbyRobynLove@yahoo.com.

 

3. I will also send you a contract stating that I have set aside time on my calendar and asking you to confirm your commitment to my services. I will also send you an estimated invoice stating an estimate on my services from what has been decided upon up until that point, but is not the final bill and will be updated upon completion of a project. Look at common extra fees here.

 

4. Mail back the contract and your $25 deposit. E-mail the answers to the questionaire. And enjoy planning your event.

 

5. Order 15% extra envelopes, place cards, escort cards and table numbers from your stationer. All calligraphers make mistakes, me included!

 

6. Start compiling your guest list using the guest list template excessible here. Write out all names and addresses the exact way you want them on the completed project! Click here for samples and envelope etiquette. Remember that if you want your addresses centered on the envelopes they must be stacked on the guest list or I charge a $25 fee. 7. Send me your envelopes (or place cards, escort cards, etc. or ask about custom pieces I can make for you), your guest list and half of your estimated invoice by the date agreed upon. Pay the first half of your invoice.

 

8. I will look over your guest list and call if I have any questions or concerns. Then I will finish your project before the date agreed upon. I will mail the completed project back to you (remember you pay all shipping costs) after I have received the final payment. There you have your Captivating Calligraphy!

 

10. When you get your calligraphy, make sure to double check for any mistakes. If the mistake is mine, I will redo free of cost. If the mistake is yours, it will cost the original price.
